What happens in a session?

The initial session is a fact finding mission.  It gives you a chance to tell me what you’d like to work on and for me to get a fuller picture of what is going on for you.  I then give you a whistle-stop, user-friendly tour of how our brains work – which for some people is enough to start the process of change.  When we understand that often what is going on is that our brains working absolutely as they are designed to – but maybe not in the way that is most helpful for us right now – then we know that there is nothing “wrong” with us and we can start to take steps to get our brains back on-side.  This initial session is always free of charge.

Subsequent sessions last an hour.  Around half of that is talking in a solution-focussed way, and I spend the remaining time delivering the trance which you get to lie back and enjoy.

How long will it take?

You will see and feel a difference in between 6 and 10 sessions. Some phobia work takes as few as 3-4 sessions and smoking cessation takes 1 session. 

You will be given a track to listen to before you go to sleep every night: this is the only homework you need to do other than to bring yourself – and a genuine desire to make a change – to every session. 

You have all the resources you need to think better, feel better and live better. SFH just helps you to access them.
